On Friday 7th December Bishop Monkton opened its doors to their Christmas Tree Festival. 22 organisations from the village had created trees of varying sizes, styles and colours depicting the different organisations. Many people came on the Friday to the Coffee Morning, including the choir from Bishop Monkton School who entertained everyone. The church was also open on Saturday offering soup lunches for those who paid just £4 for a bowl of homemade soup, french bread, followed by either a mince pie or piece of cake and a coffee.
The Christmas Trees will remain in the church until early January, do pop in and see them if you haven't yet had the chance.
